Which bikes does BonkCore support?

Launch support covers Honda’s HDS / K-line generation (roughly 2002 to 2013): CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, VFR800, Goldwing GL1800, ST1300, CBR125R/250R, and Pioneer/Talon side-by-sides. One protocol library, many bikes. Support expands as we validate each model.

Do I need a subscription?

No. The dongle plus the free BonkOS app covers live data, fault codes, the gear indicator, and a 7-day ride log with no subscription. Pro adds predictive failure alerts and unlimited cloud history.

Is it hard to install?

If you can get to the connector under your seat, you can install BonkCore. It plugs into the diagnostic port Honda already fitted. About two minutes, no tools, fully reversible.

Will it drain my battery?

BonkCore sleeps when your bike does. Standby draw is negligible, orders of magnitude below your bike’s own clock circuit.

How is the connection secured?

Every BonkCore holds a unique Ed25519 keypair. Your phone stores the public key on first pair and challenges the device on every reconnect, so a swapped or spoofed unit is refused before any data is shown.
