These Terms & Conditions govern your use of https://bonkhq.com, your orders and preorders of our hardware products, BonkOS, and related services from BonkHQ. “Products” means every hardware product we sell, including BonkCore, BonkPlate, and any product we add later. Please read these terms with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

Eligibility

By using the site or buying a product, you represent that you can enter into a binding agreement or that you have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for ensuring your use of our Products, BonkOS, and any motorcycle-related product is legal where you live and ride.

Orders, preorders, and ship dates

• The founder batch is a limited production run of BonkCore units at a launch price of $119.99, subject to availability and these terms.
• Orders are processed through Stripe. Founder units are expected to ship by October 31, 2026, in waves as production batches clear testing. This is a target for a pre-release product and may move; if it does, we will let founders know, and you can request a full refund at any time before your unit ships.
• BonkPlate is sold on preorder. Preorders fund its first production run, and units are expected to ship in January or February 2027. This is a target, not a guaranteed delivery date, and it may move; if it does, we will let you know, and you can request a full refund at any time before your unit ships.
• Any ship date we give for any Product is an estimate. We will tell you if we cannot ship when we said we would, and you can cancel for a full refund before your unit ships.
• Launch and founder pricing is available for a limited time and may end without notice.

Founder units, regulatory status, and where we deliver

• Early production hardware. Founder and first-run units of every Product are early production hardware, built in small batches. The enclosure, finish, firmware, and packaging may differ from the images on the site and may change between batches.
• Radio and certification status. Each Product uses a Bluetooth radio module made by Espressif that carries its own FCC certification. The finished Products have not been separately tested or certified as complete devices by an independent laboratory, and they do not carry CE or UKCA marking.
• Your order is a conditional sale. Delivery of a Product to you is conditional on that Product meeting the equipment authorization and technical requirements that apply at the delivery address. In the United States that includes successful completion of any equipment authorization process the Federal Communications Commission requires for it. The FCC’s rules do not address consumer protection or contract law.
• If we cannot deliver to you. If a Product does not yet meet the requirements that apply where you live, we will not ship it there until it does. We will tell you, and you can wait or cancel for a full refund at any time before it ships, as described in our Refund Policy.
• European Union, EEA, and United Kingdom. The site is available in several languages, but that is not an offer to deliver to every country. Because the Products are not CE or UKCA marked, orders from these places are held under the condition above and are refunded in full on request.
• Your legal rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the country or state where you live.

Pre-release product

Our Products, including BonkCore and BonkPlate, are pre-release and subject to change. Product features, specifications, app behavior, compatibility, design, pricing, availability, packaging, and timelines may change before release. Any photos, videos, prototypes, renders, demos, or descriptions are for informational purposes and may not match the final product.

Compatibility

BonkCore is currently intended for the 2003-2020 Honda CBR600RR. Support for other motorcycles may be added later, but we do not guarantee compatibility with any other model, year, market, ECU, wiring harness, modification, or tune unless we explicitly state that compatibility in writing.

BonkPlate is a display piece

BonkPlate is a decorative display product. It is not a license plate, it is not issued or approved by any government or motor vehicle agency, and it does not replace a state-issued plate. Do not mount it as, over, or in place of a vehicle’s plate, and do not use it to identify a vehicle on public roads. Any state names, designs, and sample numbers we show are illustrations only.

Laws about plate-like displays, covers, and decorations differ by state, city, and country, and some restrict them even on a parked vehicle. You are responsible for learning and following the rules where you use BonkPlate, and for what you choose to display on it. Do not display a plate number that belongs to a real vehicle, or anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for tickets, fines, towing, penalties, or other consequences of using BonkPlate in a way these terms or local law do not allow.

BonkOS and subscriptions

BonkOS is expected to be available for iPhone and Android through the relevant app stores when BonkCore is available. Optional Pro features may be offered through in-app purchases or subscriptions. App availability, features, subscription pricing, and store rules may vary by platform and region.

Motorcycle and safety disclaimer

BonkCore and BonkOS are informational and diagnostic accessories, and BonkPlate is a display accessory. None of them are safety devices, emergency devices, professional repair services, or substitutes for inspection, maintenance, protective gear, safe riding, or qualified mechanical judgment. We do not guarantee that BonkCore will detect every fault, predict every failure, prevent damage, prevent injury, or be accurate in every condition.

You are responsible for your motorcycle, installation decisions, riding decisions, maintenance, compliance with laws, and safe operation. Do not interact with the app or product in a way that distracts you while riding.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, app stores, or other payment providers. By submitting payment, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and that the information you provide is accurate. Taxes, duties, import fees, carrier fees, and other charges may apply, especially for international orders.

Shipping and international orders

We deliver only where a Product meets the local requirements for it (see Founder units, regulatory status, and where we deliver). Availability, shipping methods, delivery times, import duties, customs clearance, taxes, and local regulatory requirements vary by country. You are responsible for import duties, taxes, customs compliance, and legal use of the product in your location unless we expressly say otherwise at checkout.

Limited warranty

This limited warranty covers BonkCore hardware only. Other Products, including BonkPlate, are covered by the return window in our Refund Policy and by any rights you have under applicable law, but not by this limited warranty unless we say so in writing.

We warrant the BonkCore hardware against defects in materials and workmanship under normal installation and use for 12 months from the date you receive it. If your unit fails because of such a defect during that period, we will repair it, replace it, or, if we cannot reasonably do either, refund what you paid for it. This is our voluntary warranty; it adds to, and does not take away, any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.

The warranty does not cover damage from crashes, drops, fire, flood, water exposure beyond the unit’s rating, incorrect installation, unauthorized modification or repair, use with a vehicle we have not listed as supported, or ordinary cosmetic wear. To make a claim, email support@bonkhq.com with your order details and a short description of the problem. We may ask you to send the unit back for inspection, and we cover shipping both ways on approved warranty claims. Please return the unit with all the components it shipped with so we can diagnose and replace it correctly.

Cancellations and refunds

Orders and preorders are refundable as described in our Refund Policy. Returns of shipped hardware, defective products, and mobile app subscriptions are also governed by that policy and the limited warranty above.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, payment flows, forms, apps, firmware, APIs, or services. You may not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, scrape or abuse forms, reverse engineer protected software except where allowed by law, or use our products or services for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

The BonkHQ name, BonkCore, BonkPlate, BonkOS, logos, site content, software, firmware, designs, product concepts, copy, images, videos, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used without permission except as allowed by law.

Disclaimers

Except for the limited warranty stated above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the site, orders, pre-release information, our Products, BonkOS, and related services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BonkHQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, motorcycle damage, downtime, or other losses arising from or related to the site, orders, products, apps, or services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site or services after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
